Antigua Sundown
The Rotary Club of Rutland has a sister club agreement with the Rotary Club of Antigua Sundown. Our clubs do a yearly joint meeting, and have also coordinated on the funding of breast pumps for one of Antigua’s local maternity wards.
Rotarian Dick Rohe visited Antiqua Sundown in February 2019. Pictured is Antiqua Club President Jonah D. Ormond, Richard Rohe, Rutland Past President and Dr. Janelle Charles-Williams, Communications and Marketing Manager of the Antiqua and Barbuda Medical Benefits Organization and a member of the National Breastfeeding Support Association. On behalf of the Rotary Club of Rutland, Rohe presented a check in the amount of $2,000 to the Antiqua Club for the purchase of hospital grade breastfeeding equipment.

In May 2018, the Rotary Club of Rutland, Vermont and the Rotary Club of Antiqua-Sundown, St. John’s, Antiqua, formally established a Rotary Twin-Club relationship. Mutual goals were to build goodwill, develop better friendships and international understanding. We have maintained regular and frequent communication in order to be apprised of the fundraisers, service projects and other initiatives sponsored by this vibrant group of dedicated Rotarians. Rotary Club of Rutland agreed to financially support the Antiqua Club Breastfeeding project.
